Week 16: Standings - November 20th 2011

This is now a week overdue but better late than never. So in it's 16th week and past the crystal anniversary the Sunday Night Quiz at the Blacksmiths Arms, Coniston is still plodding along.

Some amazing scores this week and some not so amazing scores from a particular Dynamic Duo who weren't that Dynamic. With some quirky questions stretching from Toyota's advertisements to combining a 'Red Dwarf' character with the gay capital of England (Brighton), there was always bound to be some varied scores. However this week was the biggest range of scores in the history of this quiz going from 14 to 46.5! Staggering! Records continue to be smashed on Sunday evenings and rather frustratingly for me there has never been a tie break thus far! Argh! I might just not bother writing tie breaker questions although the chances are, the wekk I don't, some teams will sodding draw! Anyway, the results from the Magnificent Seven...

46.5   That's Tragic
41.5   Mike Oxlong
40      We Started the Fire
36.5   Chapel Fields Mafia -3 (that's minus 3 people, not minus 3 points for not behaving)
28.5   Snap Some Necks, Cash Some Cheques (definitely the most ludicrous name so far)
23      The Good Turn Gang
14      Dynamic Duo

As you can see, That's Tragic obliterated the opposition scoring an impressive 10 on the picture rounds (they clearly watch Lego movies a lot). This victory meant that they have now won 4 times which puts them out front with the most quiz wins. The field is still pretty well spread without one team dominating the quiz which is a relief. I'm just waiting and hoping for the day when the Young Farmers get their first win on the board. It will happen eventually I swear!

Memorable Moments: Me pronouncing "country" with a bit too much emphasis on the first syllable.

The quiz can be found in it's usual place.
